I am writing a persuasive speech for school, and my topic is persuading others to stop using words like gay and retarded as adjectives/insults/general words.

I needed some statistics as support so naturally I googled something along the lines of ‘statistics of gay as an insult’. I was surprised when one of John’s videos popped up; the one titled Gay is Not an Insult. 

I watched it, quoted it in my speech, using John as a source, and even asked my teacher if I could show a clip of it in my class. She said yes.

In the end it just shows that not only does nerdfighteria relate to nearly every aspect of my life, but also that John, Hank, and Nerdfighteria not only have the power to change the world, but they have changed the world. One video at a time.
