Hey anon, hope everything’s going better- This is honestly why I had to stop being an RA myself. I just couldn’t hack both careers, because we both know that RA life and Student life are careers, just remember you’re not alone. You’re a student first, if you need to cut back on some duties your hall director or RD or CD whatever your school has will understand. Something else that really helped me? My RD has a dog, dogs are scientifically proven to make people happier, bad day “hey ___ can I play with Blake?” you can also look into getting a service animal yourself if this is something that really helps you.
